L-Isoleucine
(Branch chain amino acid)
What is
L-Isoleucine?
L-Isoleucine is a branch
chain amino acid (BCAA). L-Isoleucine is one of three
BCAAs, the other two being L-leucine and L-valine. It is an
essential amino acid, which means it must come from
ingestion (diet or supplementation). L-Isoleucine is vital
in the production of hemoglobin. It also regulates blood
sugar levels as well as energy levels. It is metabolized in
muscle tissue and is responsible for muscle recovery after
exercise.
